How to survive the first weeks of breastfeeding with Annette Bing / 28 Feb


We are very excited to be hosting Annette Bing, Midwife and Lactation Consultant, from Sleep Hollow Clinic.

Annette has specialised in home births, water births, antenatal / postnatal care, and lactation support.  She will be sharing her expert knowledge on newborn babies:

1/ How to survive the first week of breastfeeding: latching and positioning, frequency and length of feeds, reading baby’s feeding cues, normal weight gain, baby’s bowel movements, cracked sore nipples, low milk supply, fast let down reflex. And, engorgement, plugged ducts, mastitis; symptoms, basic treatment and when to seek help.

2/ Newborn routines – coping with the first 6 weeks and how to get baby into a good day/night routine: breastfeeding and sleep routines, how to differentiate day/ night time routine, what to do if your baby has digestive issues (cramps, wind, colic), how to deal with reflux or silent reflux, how to deal with constipation, how to deal with diarrhoea, and when should I seek medical attention for baby?
